New York State Office of General Services to Host Inaugural Excel...
New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced that New York State’s inaugural Excelsior Con event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
“Excelsior Con is about bringing people together to celebrate the creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm that make gaming and pop culture so special,” Commissioner Moy said. “We’re proud to open the Empire State Plaza to New Yorkers of all ages for an exciting new event where fans, families, creators, and communities can come together, have fun, and make memories.”
The first-ever New York State Excelsior Con brings together tabletop gaming, trading card games, cosplay, comics, collectibles, artists, local businesses, and interactive experiences in one of New York State's most monumental public spaces.

Background on Albany High School Anime Club Founding & Local Anime Community History
A Bustling Marketplace: Visit dozens of local vendors, artists, and creators offering games, collectibles, custom artwork, sports cards, and pop culture merchandise. Featured local participants include Earthworld Comics, Cromulent Comics, Flipside Gaming, Yamaguchi, Pine Box Entertainment, and Sweet Melange Design.

Free parking is available in the East Garage, Madison Avenue, and Grand Street parking lots. Paid parking is available in the visitor lot underneath the Empire State Plaza.

OGS implemented a new emergency text alert system that the public can use to receive event-specific emergency notifications. For the New York State Excelsior Con, the public can text ESP26 to 888777 to opt in and receive emergency messages.
